XENCE Launches Dedicated Construction Division: XENCE Engineering

From timber houses to non-residential buildings, full-scale construction contracting begins in the Tokai region. A new kind of builder connecting design and construction.
XENCE Inc. (headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi; Representative: Kotaro Ozawa) launched XENCE Engineering, a new division dedicated to construction contracting, on May 20, 2026. Based mainly in the Tokai region, it undertakes construction work for design firms and clients, including new builds and renovations of timber houses, tenant and office renovations, and new construction, renovation, and demolition of non-residential buildings.
To date, XENCE has taken on the construction of complex buildings that are difficult through standard workflows, including digital fabrication using 3D printers and robotic machining, and the development and construction of modular architecture using unutilized materials that fall outside distribution standards. Drawing on the construction expertise for these new technologies accumulated along the way, together with established building techniques, it launches as a new kind of builder that "designs architecture from how it is made."
Designing architecture from how it is made.
We believe the potential of architecture is shaped not only by design but greatly by how it is built. We launched XENCE Engineering as the division for a new kind of builder, where design and construction work as two wheels of the same axle and where "how it is built" broadens the range of architectural options.
XENCE has pursued new ways of building under the theme of practicing the circular economy in architecture. In contract construction as well, we aim for circular building production that raises cost transparency and involves diverse stakeholders, including materials, craftspeople, communities, and designers.
